INVESTIGATION REVEALS THE RECKLESS, UNSCIENTIFIC PROTOCOL OF THE SEX CHANGE INDUSTRY

You might not think it’s a terrific idea for surgeons to rip out the sexual organs of people who believe they were born with the wrong gender. You would then hear from activists and the media that very smart people with Ph.D.s and lab coats invented this form of medical “care” and that there are fancy studies to back it up. Therefore, they say, you really should trust the experts over what your gut tells you.

The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh and his team recently finished an investigation into organizations that approve people for transgender surgeries. Their findings confirm that your gut is correct. The sex change industry is guided by nothing more than reckless ideology, and confused people are paying a permanent price.

Before performing such procedures, facilities across the country require a letter from a therapist or counselor of some kind establishing that the patient has gender dysphoria, a persistent discomfort with their birth sex. This complies with the medical guidelines from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, a group of activists presenting themselves as serious physicians.

Walsh obtained a video presentation from the Juniper Center, a therapy consultation center in Illinois, in which social worker Ariel Groner explained her typical rationale for providing these letters. Apparently, even WPATH’s standards are too restrictive for her.

Groner told her audience that it’s important for someone interested in transgender treatments to know she is “not going to be a gatekeeper” or “stop them from accessing” them.

“I’m not there to determine if they’re ‘trans enough,’” she added.

She explained in another clip that the letter ought to be a “persuasive essay” with the preset goal of convincing doctors to castrate or mutilate her client. Careful inquiry has no place in this process, not even to establish whether their stated confusion about gender will last another 24 hours.

Another slide of Groner’s presentation discusses puberty blockers, indicating that ideologues like her are also in charge of fast-tracking transgender procedures for minors.

Walsh’s team also exposed Plume, a clinic that provides healthcare referrals “for trans and nonbinary people” and is active in 45 states. Gregg Re, Walsh’s producer, decided to test just how insane its surgery protocol is by going undercover as a man wishing to be a woman.

Re told the clinic he had never experienced gender dysphoria for six months or longer, which disqualifies him for treatment under WPATH’s guidelines. A nurse practitioner nonetheless approved him for testicle removal surgery after a 22-minute interview. Three days later, she sent him a letter of recommendation that baselessly claimed the surgery was “medically necessary."

When Re followed up with her and said he didn’t “feel dysphoric” anymore, the nurse practitioner seemed confused and asked him whether the surgery would really be “gender confirming” for him. In other words, she signed him up for castration before asking any remotely serious questions.

Common sense would tell you that health professionals shouldn’t take these requests for life-altering procedures at face value. Doctors ought to be leaders, not followers, when it comes to someone’s health, making honest and informed recommendations.

This is especially the case with children, leading many states to ban so-called “gender-affirming care” for those under 18. In a sane world, it would be criminal at any age, but protecting the most vulnerable among us from this nightmarish experiment is the first step.
